How to Get a Medical Document

To access medical cannabis through Starseed, you’ll need a valid medical document from an authorized healthcare practitioner, such as a physician or nurse practitioner.

The process is simple and can often be completed through a virtual consultation from the comfort of your home.

Step 1: Book A Consultation with a Clinic

Choose one of the clinics below that offer medical cannabis consultations and book an appointment at a time that works for you. Many clinics offer free virtual appointments with licensed healthcare practitioners.

Step 2: Speak With a Healthcare Professional

During your consultation, a healthcare practitioner may review your medical history, discuss your symptoms or wellness goals, and determine whether medical cannabis may be appropriate for you. Common reasons patients explore medical cannabis include:

• Chronic pain
• Sleep concerns
• Stress and anxiety
• Arthritis
• PTSD
• Other ongoing health concerns

Eligibility is determined by the healthcare practitioner during your consultation.

Step 3: Approval & Start Ordering!

If approved, the clinic will issue your medical document and can send it directly to Starseed on your behalf, or provide instructions for submitting it yourself.

Your medical document includes:

• Your authorized daily cannabis amount
• Length of authorization
• Practitioner information

Once your documents are approved and sent to us you’re free to start ordering!

Prefer to Speak With Your Own Doctor?

You can also obtain a medical cannabis document through your own family doctor, nurse practitioner, or healthcare provider.

If your healthcare practitioner is comfortable authorizing medical cannabis, they can complete a medical document for you directly. Once completed, the document can be submitted to Starseed to complete your registration. Feel free to download and print the following documents to provide your doctor:
